'White Rabbit'

On the first day of every month, our family would scramble to say ’white rabbit’ to one another. In my childhood household, the first to say it each month would have the best luck.

Days after we lost my Dad, my Mom said ‘I think he is just as shocked as we are,’ and the feeling remains the same.
